LATINO Magazine presented its third GUSTO event recently in Chicago. GUSTO is a series of networking receptions around the country sponsored by Hilton, NBCUniversal Telemundo and others celebrating the diversity of Latino culture through its cuisine.  Nonprofit partners include the American Heart Association (AHA) and local organizations in each city

This GUSTO event took place in the elegant rooftop lounge of theWit Hotel, located in the theater district of the Windy City. Partners included the American Egg Board (AEB), offering tasty, egg-based appetizers and desserts prepared by theWit’s Executive Chef Nathan Sears, who also presented a mouthwatering paella. Another partner, Barilla, delighted guests with a pasta bar featuring its Latino-Italian fusion recipes.

Speakers included Jean-Pierre Comte, President of Barilla America, and Anne Alonzo President, AEB.  Paintings by local artists courtesy of Alberto Ortega were sold to raise money for the Hispanic Association for Career Enhancement (HACE), represented by its CEO, Patricia Mota.
