LATINO Magazine presented its second GUSTO event  in Miami. GUSTO is a series of networking receptions around the country sponsored by Hilton, NBCUniversal Telemundo and others celebrating the diversity of Latino culture through its cuisine.  Nonprofit partners include the American Heart Association (AHA) and local organizations in each city.

This GUSTO event took place in the Conrad Miami , located in the trendy Brickell neighborhood with a fabulous view of Biscayne Bay. Participants included award-winning chef Santiago Gomez, whose new restaurant Tacology is winning rave reviews. The event was also a showcase for the culinary talents of Conrad Executive Chef Virgile Brandel, who offered guests an updated interpretation of traditional Cuban food with a lechon en caja china, a roast piglet accompanied by rice and black beans.

Speakers included Rocky Egusquiza, NBCUniversal Telemundo, and Andrea Richardson, Hilton. Representing the AHA was attorney Alex Almazan. Also present were students from Johnson & Wales School of Hospitality, North Miami Campus, and Professor Samer Hassan. Many thanks to all our partners and guests.
